Just as an FYI, Shell’s website has been updated to reflect Pennzoil Platinum’s designation as an SN Plus engine oil. Specs are a little skimpy (no HTHS or Noack), but are at least available.
The marketing verbiage that goes along with th TDS notes that it has been “Redesigned for modern turbocharged engines...”: perhaps a bit of a swipe at Valvoline’s “Modern Engine” formula, especially given the price difference.
Interestingly, other than a few Euro viscosities, Ultra Platinum seems to be nowhere. Whether this is just a website issue or a marketing change remains to be seen.
