OK, I've spent about 30 minutes searching, and can only find 6 grease fittings on the front end of my '04 Silverado Ext. Cab 2wd. I had a neighbor, who is a mechanic under there, and he came up with 6 as well.

Is there only 6, or am I still missing some well hidden ones?

I'd rather ask, than miss some.

Let me guess: upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends?

No grease fittings for the control arm bushings, correct?

One of the Chevy truck message boards shows the pics with the various zerks shown and noted with arrows. If I find it will post the link here.

I copied the pics and printed them out..... went into my binder where I store info etc regarding maintenance on the truck.

I believe the 4x4 and 4x2 have the same number and location.

I replaced the one hard-to-get-at zerk with one having a 90-degree angle. Easier to get at.

Looking for tutorial.

Found a message declaring there are only 6 zerks on the 4x2.

Coot has a 4x4 with 11.

Unable to verify how many the 4x2 has but the 6 figure may be correct.

There can't be 11 on a 2 wheel drive... there's no way that I'm missing 5 fittings under there.

I found 6, and that seems to be the popular number for a 2 wd.
