It's been awhile since I last posted here, and man things have changed. It appears this site is alive and well.

Anyway I wanted to get your take on these 3 oils for a near 100k mile LS1 Camaro. I've been using the GC the last 3 oil changes, but now that the mileage is getting up there and I'm planning on a cam swap in a few months, I'm wondering if I should go to something a little heavier. I originally ran the 0W40 when I first got the car, then I heard about GC and switched.

Right now the car puts down right around 350rwhp with bolt ons through an M6, and it runs great. With the original oil pump, it gets about 60psi warm cruise, 70 at WOT, and 45 warm idle.

I don't have any wear analyses, but I was wondering how these 3 oils compare, especially the 5W40. thanks in advance

Jason

Do you know how these (60, 70, and 45 psi) oil pressures compare with low mileage/new ??

Probably this engine is still as new, recheck at 200K miles.....

A question about German Castrol - who sells it ?

I have not seen it anywhere, also Mobil 1 0-40 I have yet to see.
Maybe York County, PA is considered to be the "sticks"...

GC is sold at Autozone. It is 0w30 Syntec, made in Germany. Check the label to make sure it isn't made in the USA.
