High Potassium again in 5.9 Cummins

To me this just isn't looking good. The potassium level increased from the last sample. Please let me know what you think.

It appears that Rotella has changed their formulation from a year since the calcium signature is greater by 1,000 ppm over the older formula.

So what I'm thinking is maybe the Potassium is part of the new additive package.

Try a different oil, such as Delvac or Delo and see if the potassium levels are different.

We changed the oil about a week ago with Delvac 1300. We'll send in another 10,000 mile sample in 2-3 weeks.

Kinda reminds me of my recent analysis...good wear metals, no water or glycol, high Na...

It is frustrating when things don't make sense!
