Thanks for the replies. Remote is RF. Only happens during daylight hours. Aren't ghosts "off" then?

Do you have a cable box or other device connected via HDMI? Its possible it reboots itself once per month and on turn on many HDMI devices can power on your TV.
My Chromecast and BluePlayer manage to turn on my Sony Bravia TV when they are first used.

Turn off CEC, which may be called Bravia Link or Bravia Sync on your tv. CEC allows other devices to turn on the tv.
