various vintage oil filters cut apart

i was bored and these weren't selling on ebay so i cut them apart for your viewing pleasures

first up is a checker c8

Where were these stored (ie, some rust showing), and how old do you think some of them are?

I used those Purolators back in the early 80's. That's when Purolator made a quality product. Back then there were mostly Frams, Purolator and Lee "maxi filters". Sears even made decent oil filters back then.

I am having flashbacks now to days of opening cans with metal pierce and pour tools
Oh the mess they made and the cans would crimp, fold and always have quite a bit of residual oil in them
Glad our products are better these days

i got them for free from a customer at work who dropped them off for recycle at the parts store. no idea how old they were but they also brought some oil which was about 20 years old.
