old japanese made tanaka is good but the newer made in china tanaka equipment is not.

I have a hitachi ( tanaka) RB24 blower. It does a great job. I don't know if its Chinese of Japanese.

A little post. I recently bought one for 40$. Same issue. A cracked tank but otherwise fully functionnal. Finding a tank for a 1988 hedge trimmer is quite the challenge. But I figured out a solution that looks quite nice. Bought a 1 inch by 1 inch aluminium L bracket and machined with a dremmel. The tank I am using is some generic tank from amazon. It's called ''32 Hedge Trimmer Grass Trimmer Spare Parts Fuel Tank'' If you search it you'll find a bunch on the US Amazon and eBay. I found the last one on the Canadian Amazon.
