Unless Muncie gets down to -35 or below then the difference between a 0W-40 and a 5W-40 is meaningless. In fact the 0W rated oil might be thicker until then. The 30-grade will be thinner however, regardless of the winter rating.

Too old to crawl under vehicles in the driveway in freezing temps. Not gonna' visit an oil change shop with my own oil and filter either in the winter.
