Are u a big fireworks person?

Not really. Normal humans are not allowed to buy them or shoot them off here so I have never had any of my own.

If they have a show I can see from my porch Iwill watch them only because my wife wants to see them.

10:30 PM and they are still shooting them off, my German Shepard is scared half to death.

I'll watch fireworks from a distance for maybe 30 seconds tops, then I get bored.

I do like to light off my own though. Got some really good ones last year. Didn't get any this year though.

I do agree 9:00pm is the decent-ish cut off, I never light any off after that. But New Year's Eve, it doesn't bother me at midnight, it's to be expected.

Also strange how some dogs freak out and others don't care. My dogs couldn't care less. My neighborhood sounded like a war zone tonight, my dogs walked around the back yard like nothing was happening. My grandpa's dogs are complete chickens. I can't stand them.

I pretty much feel the same way, now I can take them or leave them.

not a big fan...saw so many displays when I was younger,,,now not much interest...I don't set my own off...saw way to many accidents over the years to even consider that

I buy Mortars, those Multi-shot square and round packages, and Roman candles that shoot high and burst.

Last night myself and every neighbor within 20 blocks was shooting off fireworks from 9:00pm to Midnight. What a show!

I used to like fireworks but after over 50 years I am not that thrilled. Michigan mow allows the good fireworks but I am too cheap to buy them.

My neighbor is a fireworks fan. He blows them-off on the street near the curb and never cleans the mess on July 5th. Anyone that parks their vehicle in that area rolls right over it for weeks. Worst part is 10-15 feet away is the city sewer access / grate that collects much of it and some falls down between the grate holes.
The law won't allow me to use my gas blower to push the fireworks mess onto his easement lawn & sidewalk in front of his home.
So there it lays - last year - this year and probably next year.

I actually bought fireworks for the first time in at least 20 years. My teenage son has been bugging me for the past few years, and since we were going to my sisters for the 4th, I bought $100 worth.
He had fun lighting them, family and I enjoyed them, but in the back of my head I just kept thinking I am literally watching my $100 go up in smoke.
But we had a good time, so it is OK.
My wife used to really enjoy them, but her and my sister had to go inside, the smoke, flashing and noise gave them both headaches. My 78 yr old mother stayed out with us the whole time.

My sister said the same.
I am OK with it on the 4th and on New Years Eve till about 1 am. On any other day, anything after 10 pm is annoying.

Used to be into them. Then moved to Geneva IL.
Very close to the stadium where the Kane County Cougars played baseball. They were always blasting them off.
I remember the first time I saw them it was kind of exciting. Big commercial grade stuff easily viewable off the deck.
Well after a while it was a yawn. Then kind of annoying.

I love fireworks. My dad has been doing firework shows on holidays and at parties since I was a kid. He is big on safety, and also plans out the entire show so it is almost to the point of being professional. He's one of those firework nerds that watches all the videos of what they look like and plans which ones he will light off at what times.

Like I said before though, he is all about safety, and mounts the cakes to boards for stability, etc. He claims a lot of the smaller ones are actually more dangerous because of their ability to tip over, or from people holding them/standing too close while they go off. I've seen some firework "displays" at people's homes that made me cringe with how reckless they were with them.

I mount my launch tubes to 2x6 boards on saw horses. That way they are elevated, and the tubes don't fall over, and you are not standing with your head over them when lighting!!!

Used to get a kick out of them. The pretty stuff and the LOUD things.

Watching the commercial grade displays go off is nice, but if I never saw one again it wouldn't bother me.

I work near a casino that sets them off a good sized display about every summer night at 10pm.

The public fireworks shows are boring to me after so many years. Even our kids are like 'eh' about them. The private ones are better but admittedly not necessarily safer ! By better, I mean being able to be so much closer. That of course applies to the "not safer" part too !!

Our niece did them at their place last night and her husband's brother-in-law showed up with this

I've never heard anything louder in my life ! You can only shoot it off once (from the same place). If you do it twice, from his experience, the police show up.

Had a nice display in the back yard. This is the first year in a long time I did not set any off, I usually buy lot's of mortar type fireworks. My neighbor took my place this year
