NLGI

Did you happen across this grease in some handbook and you're posing it as a question to the board?

What's the prize for a correct answer?

Yes, my posted question was a question to the board members.

The viscosity numbers are for a particular grease I have. No NGLI grade is listed. Just trying to figure out the corresponding NGLI grade. I know that NGLI grades do not directly correlate to viscosity but was hoping for a ballpark figure.Or are viscosity and NGLI grade completely unrelated?

If I understand it correctly the NGLI grade relates to the hardness/consistency of the grease but not to its viscosity? A very hard grease could contain very low viscosity oil and vice versa? If so, I abandon my search for an answer to my question.

Sounds like a hard wax?

Or.... like solid polyethylene plastic?
