To see a 16 year old Chev with no rust and such a clean engine is a treat for my Rust-Belt eyes. We can have clean engines, but there's a point where the rust just defeats the point, unless the owner is vigilant about oil spraying the body & frame.

Exactly right in my opinion ^^^^^^^^^^°^^

Looks awesome...

Very, very similar to the Havoline Pro DS engine tear down video on the cars ran in Las Vegas taxi fleet.

Whether it be Mobil 1 or it's close cousin Mobile 1

or Havoline Pro DS, or Pennzoil platinum, or Amsoil, or Redline, or Royal Purple, or Castrol Egde or any house brand synthetic like Warren Distribution or Warren Oil or Cam2 as long as it is changed at the right time and interval. . These photos will be your net results after 150,000 plus miles...

Also meant to say....

Hope that you have been doing all right... And that you are kicking rear end.

Know you had a lot going on for awhile there. . .

Being in South California if you wanted to help the local economy and spruce it up a bit I would merely suggest substitute a qt of redline oil and see the benefits of ester.

What benefit to a LSx engine? That engine will start leaking oil profusely before it even halfway wears out.
