The sticky Velcro plastic pad for my EZ Pass fell off the windshield. I put a lighter to it to reactivate the adhesive and it fell off.

What does AZ or AAP have that would?

Is a drop of Super Glue not a good idea?

you can buy another ez pass its about 2.50 after their credit.

comes with extra velcros.

I use Velcro industrial strength heavy duty claims can hold up to 10lbs to hold a parking pass on the windshield for the past three years. Some places have the industrial strength extreme that claims it can hold up to 15lbs. Can be found at most home depot, lowes, walmart in various sizes and colors for a few dollars. Be sure to prep surfaces and glass is clean.

I know here in PA they'll send you new strips free of charge, but NJ might be different. I have about 5 vehicles to split mine up so I just got some "industrial strength" Velcro at Home Depot and cut strips for each vehicle. They also make a suction cup holder so you no longer need the Velcro and can easily transfer it to another vehicle (found this out after I put strips in each vehicle, doh!).

Each state/ turnpike authority has their own little twist to the procedure, but they know people trade cars, get new windshields etc and are customer friendly.

They'd rather you mount the things correctly than have them sitting on the dash. Mine only registers if it's horizontal-- figure there's a directional antenna inside.

When mine would no longer stick to the windshield, I just stuck it to the top of the dash. The adhesive no longer needs to defy gravity, so it stays in place, and works fine.

Interesting. Been too long since I took a spun up into Maine (and at the going rate, maybe never?). But this has been working fine in NH's tolls for a while now.

Today I went to Wal-Mart and bought Velcro as wkcars posted. Thanks. It's going to work well. The Velcro is on the windshield. Wife said for $3 I'm going to call EZ Pass? We had to go to Wal-Mart anyway for her coffee!

I've used the suction cup mount for a few years and it works fine. I don't travel toll roads daily so I just stash the ez pass in the glove box and stick it on the windshield when we're road tripping.

Looks like you guys are still using 1st Gen tags. In TX they changed mine over to a sticker with a small RFID sandwiched between tape. It is convenient as I pasted mine behind my rear view mirror. But I avoid Tollways like Covid 19.
