Hello all,

Thoughts on HB jack stands? I know they had some past ones recalled. I just returned mine and have a store credit, but I'm wondering if I should trust the ones they have now.

Thanks.

I've been using my HF 6-ton stands (non-recall model) for a long time and they work great. This recall is the first real concerning news I have ever heard about HF jack stands, regardless of the name brand.
Similar to the Firestone tire issue back in the day, right now is probably the best time to buy HF jack stands since they are under a microscope and most likely keeping everything up to spec.

We should always have two different vehicle lifts for securement, while under our rides.
I currently use jack stands with my ramps (or) jack stands with my floor jack. That's when lifting only one end of our vehicles.

The danger seems to be, they're all Chinese made garbage-if there was a decent USA made set, it would be a no brainer!

US jack (all), hein werner (some) have decent USA made jack stands. There are more brands, but they don't come to mind right now.

FWIW, looks like us jack is back ordered, probably because of the HF recall.
