my son is in the market for a random orbital polisher. What does everyone recommend for around $200? He is looking for professional grade as part of his business

For that price range, I would look into a Maxshine Pro Series II. Find one with a 15mm large orbit.

Id find a used Flex or Rupes. I got mine for less than $200 barely used.

flex is forced rotation with counterclockwise spinning which is a little hard to get used to but manageable. Also, FLEX takes a toll on your hands if used for long hours straight. I sold mine that I bought used (but new) for 200$. Got me a Griots G9 for 150$ - free spinning DA with lifetime warranty - can't go wrong

Griot's stands behind their product, has excellent customer service and actually answers the phone when you call.
