Thats what I was thinking as well.

For those that do not know 88 is E15. Should be a bigger warning on it IMO.

The price of premium in that pic is far cheaper than what we pay for regular!

There are giant warning stickers above the actual separate pumps. and the pumps themselves are different colors.. yellow blue.. black

The 88 is made by mixing the e85 and 87 octane gas.

Sometimes the 88 is 3cents cheaper than 87, right now its 40cents.

This has happened in the past.. not sure why though.. its not a price mistake.

Also esp in winter the 88 can still be under 10% ethanol because the e85 is closer to 50% ethanol vs 80%+ in the summer.

I dont buy the 88 when its 3 cents cheaper but at $.15 or cheaper its a decent buy.. owners manual states upto 15% is fine.

would I put it in my OPE .. heck no.

Can't believe the E85 is almost the same price as E10, it needs to be 30% cheaper to make up for the MPG lost. I'm guessing somebody screwed up (as said above). Casey's General Store has the same selection, but they have E0 premium for a decent price!

Is this picture of a Casey's? Mmm, pizza...

Sheetz gas station.. Pittsburgh? based.

no one near me has ethanol free.

there are some rec/marina gas sellers about 30 miles away. 90 octane ethanol free.

Canal fulton, Waco, and malvern IIRC.

Makes no sense. There are times when the price of gasoline is less than the price of ethanol. And that makes things rather tricky since the infrastructure almost always requires ethanol as an octane rating booster. The other ways to boost octane rating (without lead) are typically more expensive.

Everything is upside right about now. The wholesale price of ethanol is actually higher than for most forms of gasoline.
