2015 Chevy Sonic - Check Engine Lite

Well , asked Wife again & she said the CEL came back on . The new purge solenoid is suppose to arrive via USPS , Friday . So looks like I will give a try at swapping it out .

Finally got around to swapping out the purge solenoid on the Sonic . Worst part was getting the little plastic locks , unlocked . So I could get the connectors off .

Cleared the codes . About to take it for a spin .

My wife has been driving the Sonic . She and I went to Walmart Pharmacy , this afternoon . So far , the CEL has not come back on .

The purge valve is a VERY common issue on the Cruze/Sonic 1.4 and the GM 3.6 motors. I tell people it is not if but when you will need one. Fortunately it is a cheap part and a 5 min repair.
