Just sharing. I wanted to see how the oil held up at 10k miles and I can't complain. I don't know how the silicone went up. Check the air induction system and everything looks fine. Only thing I did different was used a different brand air filter (used WIX on the other oil changes). Maybe it contributed to it or maybe an error at the lab. Given that wear results, not concerned with the up in silicon. We'll see next oil change.

The way you've worded your post it sounds like you replace the air filter at every oci, which of course would be totally unnecessary. Excessively playing with the airbox is not a good thing. An air filter can be used for over 30k miles unless operating conditions dictate otherwise.
