I picked up a case of Castrol 20w-50 motorcycle oil at a yard sale a few weeks ago. Sae rated SG. Since the bottom end of my tractor is worn and I am too lazy to fix it What is better than a thick oil?
Sae30 does well in it so I am going with 20w-50 this time.
Used the tractor around the yard this morning to get it warmed up.

I would use it in that application without hesitation. My father owned an early 1950s Farmall Super A up until the early 1980's that had never had an engine rebuild and we used either 30 or 40 wt. (no particular brand, whatever was available) in it
