The media is drying out, I do not believe it is torn, I don't like the way the media is curved on one end in particular though.

I've seen that before. The media held up fine, but it was bent when it was glued into place.

Motorcraft oil filters are number 1 to use on my filter like meter. M1 2nd and NAPA Gold 3rd.


You're welcome of course.

The FL400S and FL500S at least seem to be reliable ...

This one was changed prior to its time because the shop is chasing a problem on the 3.7... oil and filter had no impact of course.

Outstanding filter here. Amazing how good the Motorcraft fl 500s and 400s filters look.
