On Saturday Sue and I drove to Dixon (west of Sac) to visit 2 of her uncles, Hod (US Navy) and Mac (US Army), both retired Military. Hod was in Vietnam and Mac was in Korea.
It feels good to honor our Veterans of Foreign Wars.
There are thousands of vets buried in this beautiful place.

My Mom had 5 brothers overseas in WW 2. Uncle Terry was a Marine war hero; he fought in the Guadalcanal Campaign.
My brother's wife's father was at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge.
It goes on and on.

Hopefully Americans will take at least a few minutes to think about those who died in service to this great nation.

They stopped the Coca Cola 600 at the half way point for a 30 second moment of silence, but it was more like a minute.
