SP Data Sheets Regressing

For the oil geeks like most of us, it appears we will be disappointed with the new SP product data sheets as some have eliminated certain figures. Mobil no longer shows VI, HT/HS or SA. Valvoline now just puts the Noack value as
For those that really care about some of these numbers, good luck. They've probably witnessed too many people getting caught up on certain numbers and drawing conclusions based on that.

Here is an example of the new SP AFE 0w20.

So they make it that good and call it 10k. On a port injection engine you know it's good for 15k.
Suspect they feel burned by 15k vs 20k not working out … so headed for 10k vs 20k for separating church and state.
Only hope folks don't do 20k with DI.

I think you're right. 10k and 20k makes much more sense than 15k and 20k. Both are great oils either way.
