Did the transmission service on the Ram 2500 68RFE. This Mopar 05179267AC filter was on for 121,781 miles. Looked pretty good, no waves nor tears at all. Same filter went back on along with new Mopar sump filter and Valvoline ATF+4, about eight quarts.

Wish all transmission filters where spin in. Would make it so much easier to service. Filter looks. Thanks for C&P

Fluid getting pretty dark? Don't see much red there? I'm not sure I would go that long, 30-40K seems a little better, and ATF+4 is really not too expensive.

Yeah a bit darker, wasn’t too bad though overall. Filter bottom had more of the sediment that was gummed up on the pan magnet as well.

I did replace the pan with one that had a drain plug this time for easier fluid changes in the future.

30-40K? The 80's called and want their maintenance schedule back. I'm very OCD on ATF changes but even I recognize with a modern ATF like ATF+4 anything under 60K miles is overkill.

make the inside of your engine oil cap white.
don't use.
