Hi, I believe the recommended fluid is Type F, but if I can't find that is there a substitute that is acceptable? Thank, Larry

Just so you know, type "F" was what Ford used for transmission fluid decades ago. Slightly thicker than modern transmission fluid, some racers still use it in transmissions for firm shifts.
