Something restorable, running or not, with a title and not left outdoors for years.
Can be CB750C/A/F, Yamaha Maxim 750, FJ1100, Kawasaki KZ750/1000, etc.
I don't have a huge budget.

Wait until the fall for the best, lost job, business went under, starving, can't pay mortgage, dead relatives pricing. If I'm wrong, and I hope I am, it won't cost you anything.

True, some are selling now but might get better later. I just have that "itch" now. Texas sucks for Japanese bikes, this is Harley land. Every bike I find on cycle trader or eBay that I want is in California or the NE/Midwest

They're out there. My buddy just got a free suzuki GT750 1976. No title but apparently it's worth money for parts

The reason there are so many Harleys for sale is because their owners are getting too old to ride. My really nice Goldwing 1500 had to go because my replacement hip joint was only rated for 250 lbs. That 900 lb bike would be too much for that. Had a Yamaha 750 SECA like an 82 model. It was a very nice bike too. BMW and Guzzi's are great fun too.

Don't waste your time on a slipshod repair.

Have you checked the local Craigs list postings?. That's where I would start. You never know what you'll find in there.,,,

I have been with little luck. Found a CB900C with bent forks and rust for $600 but passed. Other than that and a GL1000 rust bucket zilch. Everything I see on eBay requires 1000+ miles of shipping

For not having a huge budget. you picked all of the high dollar/collectible bikes! Neighbor sold his KZ1000 last year (it was showroom mint) for $12,000.00!

There's a Gold Wing in Dallas for $200. Anyone here live in Dallas?
