These date codes don't follow the Fram date code used today. I'm thinking "F" is the year and the 3 digest after "F" is the Julian calendar day.

I guess that'd make sense that they were made the 265th and 321st day of 97'. I think the Allied name was dropped off of products before the year 2000.
When did Fram stop using those PTFE coated red colored gaskets?

There was a time when the Tough Guard filters had a screen to filter the bypassed oil.
