Found something just to plink with, no CCW. It's a 380 auto but it's 1911 Browning. Clearance at Cabelas for 449.99 was 649.99. Two mags, three dot sight.

Very nice! Is the slide easier to pull back, due to the smaller ammo? Mama has a hard time with slides now. We ended up getting her a 380 with EZ slide.

Same question, Browning doesn't actually make anything AFAIK...

This is the 3/4 scale 1911 like thing right...

Interesting gun but not a M1911 A1.

Wrong Cal, Poly frame(!), Wrong size.

Nothing wrong with that - but Browning, don't call it a 1911.

Maybe call it 1911- ish

You are correct but he didn't call it an M1911 A1, most current 1911 pistols don't follow that spec exactly. There was a time when .380 ammo was as much as .45 ACP, haven't looked lately.

So far I can't find a lower disassembly in video or pictures online, it doesn't have a barrel link so that right there disqualifies it from "1911", but it would be interesting to see if the action is similar or more like a Mustang / Govt 380...

last time i went looking for 380 it was as much as 45 or 38 super... and you better not be too picky about the bullet...
