I noticed the handy Lubrizol tool has been updated with a few additional specifications. In particular they have included a 2020 VW 504 / 507 although the * has no foot note that I could see. Anyone have any more info on this 2020 VW spec?

The latest BMW LLxx and the Porsche C40 specifications are also in there.

Thanks.

We can finally see that LL-01 spec did get redesigned for 2018, and possibly why some oils lost their LL-01 compliance.

Hmm, sister company under the Berkshire-Hathaway family. Wonder if I can get some free samples?

Now that VW 504.00 is 10 out of 10 according to Lubrizol in wear, oxidative thickening, piston deposits, sludge, and soot, we finally have the ideal oil that has zero wear, zero engine deposits, zero sludge, zero soot thickening, and an infinitely long OCI! No more oil changes are needed at all, and your engine will stay as clean as freshly out of the assembly line, show 0 ppm wear metals in the UOAs, and last forever!

Since VW508.00 and Porsche C20 are always in tandem, this 0W-20 isn't too shabby at all...

I'm pretty sure VW 508.00/509.00 2020 (ACEA C5/C6) will beat VW 504.00 in the Lubrizol spider chart -- perhaps they will have to change the scale from 10 to 12 or higher when that's introduced.
