...more.
The picture of the road between the post office and restaurant is so I could showoff the winding road section of the trip. I had to heel-toe my way through.

We both drive the 2019 Wolfsburg Passat and we both get similar mileage. I stick to the 0W-20 oil, however. Do you feel a difference in the oW-40? Smoother?

At first (50 miles or so) it felt sluggish but quieter. Now, somewhere during the trip I realized how smooth and quiet it was. It also doesn't feel sluggish anymore. I think I'll stick to 40. Either Castrol 5w40, 0w40 or M1 0w40. My next up oil is the Castrol 5w40. I found it in my old stash "locker", the loft a/c storage area. Lol.
But nothing dramatic from the 508.00. I would sometimes use 40s in the Santa Fe 2.0T.

Nice! ...Took that old road long time ago. We stopped at one of the scenic roadside picnic tables and within minutes thick cloud of hungry mosquito's were on the attack! we all ran back to the car and scrammed but a bunch were in the car. We were swatting them half way down the keys. Good Times :)

Haha, they were still there. But thankfully we not only used sunscreen but lots of mosquito repellent

Yes, surprisingly dry!

Thanks!

Hi Wemay. Glad you were able to enjoy the day with your son. I've been to Everglades Holiday Park with the family and it poured on the drive down from but thankfully it stopped for our boat ride. Between that and Sawgrass it was an expensive day.

Thanks GSCJR! Yes, airboat rides can get pretty costly. None of the establishments that typically offer it are open yet so it really wasn't even an option today. But we'll get to it soon. Sorry it poured rain on your trip. Everglades deluge are something spectacular.

Up 'ol rte 41 I see....

Always surprised me has a kid looking at the map of Florida that how desolate it was in that area... And that interstate 75 was likely straight as a arrow in that stretch too.

An interesting trip would be to take rte 41 north all the way up into upper peninsula of Michigan.
