Hi,

The oil dillution issues with Civics, does that include the base LX trim also, with NON tubro and port injection, or just the 2.0 engines in higher trims? I am particularly interested in a 2020 Civic sedan, LX trim.

Thanks

Not the 2.0T in the TypeR or the base 2.0L non-turbo. The issue has been with the 1.5T.

My buddies wife has a 2.0T type R or whatever it is. It "makes" oil during an OCI. About a 1/2 qt.

"Friend's brother's uncle..." There is no widespread issue with the 2.0T. By their nature, all GDi dilute trace amounts which is not an issue. If that were my friend, I'd tell him to visit the dealership because 1/2 a quart is a recipe for disaster.

LX trim does not have the oil dilution issue as the 1.5T from what I have read. Do read up on A/C compressor issues though, that affects all models.
