Congrats on the new car !
Brand-spank-me-new or new you you ?

I've just picked up a new-to-me 2013 Nissan X-trail (T31) 4x4 with the 2.5L (QR25DE) petrol donk. We needed a second car, as I'm not doing public transport right now. Luckily my existing oil stash fits it perfectly. Just picked up a few Ryco Syntec oil filters for it today at the SCA 20% off sale.

That BRZ reminds me of your old Torana days. I hope you have lots of fun in it.

I believe Shannow’s plan is to mix the new 0W16 with his existing stash of 5W40 to make something that approximates a 5W30, which I believe is the spec for that car (Subaru BRZ) in Oz.

A lot of posters didn’t bother to read Shannow’s comment. The picture of the 0w16 triggered them.

A 50/50 mix of the Havoline 5w40 (13.8 Cst @100*C) and the Nulon 0w16 (7.36 Cst @100*C) would put the 'brew' right at a 30W....perfect...I started a thread on doing this exact same thing a few weeks ago (thinning down stashed 30 weights for use in my 20W spec'd Ford's by mixing with 0w16).....now I know that Shannow approves.....great..
