This home has ceiling radiant heat (all electric similar to how a toaster oven works)
This thermostat has 2 wires only and is 240v 22a
The model number is 1023-d63 penn controls inc. each room has its own thermostat. A couple of them appear to be bad.
They tested open when testing ohms.

haven't seen one like that in years...collectors item.... people collect about anything

Geez. That's not a thermostat, that's the Rosetta Stone. Replace it but don't discard it. They don't even teach cursive writing in schools anymore.

Look at ThermaRay website. They sell radiant electric heat products. As mentioned a thermostat for 220V baseboard will also work.

Sometimes sections of the radiant heat fail.

My family home had radiant heat in the ceiling of one room. Loved it, felt like laying in the sun. Expensive compared to gas. Most ceilings fail when someone puts in a hook for some hanging lamp or something.
