This filter was a dealer install on my wife's 2017 Lincoln 2.0L Ecoboost
Changed the oil after 2,500 miles of use and replaced it with
FL-400 and 5W-30 RGT.

Anybody see anything wrong with the ADBV ?

Wow, another case of "shark bite" in ADBV. Pic of base plate? Bet the inlet holes have burrs on them.

Scratch that sorry filter off "to use" list. Did you see date code?

Thanks and great pics

Thank you sir

I'll look tomorrow at the base plate and the date code ðŸ‘

I install the larger FL-400 to replace this 910 filter.
Now it's got me concerned how it's gona look.
I'm real tempted to drop the filter and see🤔

Your correct
But now that I know it's just one of those things that shouldn't be and I'd rather not have a filter with a torn ADBV.
I've probably had one before and didn't know it, but now i do.

It's obvious by the cut marks in the ADBV that the base inlet holes are partially covered up by the ADBV. Bad design IMO ... nothing should be blocking oil flow holes.

That's laughable. Your opinion or let's see the facts. Just blowin smoke.

I've been using the fl910s on our fusion for a while, I've been thinking about switching to the Fram extra guard since it's basically the same price and I do 5,000 oil changes. These pics have helped me make up my mind, thanks.

Considering that Fram is one of the more widely used filters out there and it seems to have one of the fewest defects posted on BITOG, that is a logical decision.
