I saw him last summer in June. I'm so thankful I was able to. I never thought he would have less than a year. By far, my favorite artist ever.

This truly saddens me. I've never been saddened or even devastated by a celeb death, but wow, John Prine just destroyed me.

His songs were just so simple, yet intricate. I think no matter what the occasion, I could put on a John Prine album and feel better. His lyrics should be in a museum; the guy and his wisdom is a national treasure.

John Prine was my best friend I never met. RIP friend

I'm going to have a Vodka and gingerale for him. And I bet he's smoking his 9 mile long cigarette.
