Ordered 4 Monroe strut assemblies from RockAuto for my 2014 Accord. Rears worked fine but the front ones made popping noises when turning. Had RockAuto cross ship me another one, the replacement was even worse!

My indy finally replaced the front struts with Honda parts, noise is now totally gone. Indy thinks the problem was the bearing on the top of the strut.

RockAuto didn't give me too much trouble getting them to refund the money for the three front struts.

Bottom line, if you have a Honda, consider going with Honda parts from the start on struts.

If the strut mount is bad you can't blame the strut for that.

I was under the impression that it's the top piece on the complete strut assembly.

How many miles are on your 2014 Accord? crzy

Does Honda offer OEM quick struts for the 9th Accord yet? They hadn't as of a few months ago the last time I looked, They don't offer the OE-spec quick struts, but they have an HFP sport kit
(08W60-T3M-101A, about $800 for all 4, says V6 manual coupe only, but should fit all 9th Accords)

Honda does sell OE quick struts for many of their cars, but they are really expensive!

Who is the OE supplier?

I put Monroe ready struts on my old Corolla. Took 3 replacements to get a good strut.

I'm looking at Rock Auto and don't see any complete front Monroe strut assemblies and even then, the mounts are usually a separate item. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/honda,2014,accord,2.4l+l4,3306142,suspension,strut,7584

I guess Monroe isn't what they used to be! My struts said they were made in the USA.

92K miles on the 2014 Accord EX-L four door w/the 4cyl.

Most quick-strut assemblies are garbage with the top mounts being the worst offenders. You're better off re-using the OEM parts on a new strut than the whole assembly unless it's a well-worn beater.

KYB > Monroe

Quick struts are usually reserved for an old beater where anything will be an improvement over what's currently on there. On a 2014 car, I'd be getting factory or quality OEM from the jump.

YMMV. I've only used one set, and they seem ok after 80k. I've heard some popping sounds, but I think I've heard them for more than a year now, so I'm not sure what that noise is. shrug Still seem like the ticket for a beater, eek out a few more years, and if necessary, lather/rinse/repeat.

I had Monroe on a 2006 Accord and they held up fine for 90K miles.

Much more firm than the OEM factory struts / shocks.

OK. $125 vs. $45 each. Ouch.
