The Oregon blades for my John Deere Hydro 175 (38" cut, 19.5" x 2) standard lift were part 91-392. The new part is 191-392 advertised a a double bevel version of the old part. The only thing I've came across on the internut is they reduce blade noise?

Anyone have any info on what exactly double bevel is/does. Good or bad? These are a "new" version of the old blades so I'm assuming Oregon (which are the only blades I'll use) has improved the performance and durability of the new version.

I haven't noticed any difference between the new and old version as far as blade noise. I now only run the gator style mulching blades like Spasm3 posted above. Excellent quality blades that are pretty much all I use on both mine and customer machines. They have the best cut, hold up to multiple sharpenings, and don't seem to knick as bad when contacting sticks and small rocks.
