Changed after 2 months/900 miles due to cracked oil filter housing cap.

Any idea how that happened?

Lets see! Abbreviations / acronyms like NTB.
Forums / messageboards that almost always hold longer than normal conversations by communication toys and text-type small phones are not really intended / ideal, for this place, unless you spell-out the non-obvious words.

So, long-story-short, I have no idea what NTB means.

Perhaps we need a Sticky Thread on all the abbreviation-acronyms and have a List available to members here. I looked down the Thread Titles and didn't see one.

Ever think about cutting the OCI in half?

2018 Toyota Tacoma
~34k, 4500k OCI on the Havoline pro DS 10w30. The miles went quick since December but I also had some heavy towing and a lot of city driving mixed in.
Just Dumped the pan no filter change this time leaving the K&N synthetic filter. Gasoline smelly oil but I didn't warm it up fully before draining, oh well probably do a uoa before the power train warranty is up.
In went 6 quarts of RTG 5w30.
I may dump and fill the 4 runner this afternoon. It has 5k on current fill but my wife uses it and it gets a lot of short trips of less than 5 miles.

2018 4 runner 17500 on vehicle ,I really love working on this one, higher gauge materials and extra things like the removable drain bolt cover on the skid plate. Even the drain plug is nicer than the one on my Tacoma.
Out went some dealer 0w20, filter kept in place. 5010 miles on the oil

In went 6 quarts of RTG 0w20. This sweetheart of an engine and the current duty expected makes me comfortable with the 0w20 at this time. If I start off-roading it again, or need to tow with it or it gets more high speed high temp highway driving I will revisit the viscosity, but I had this on hand so to get it another 5 k and through september it got used.
