Hello,

This is the only grease-specific forum I could find, so I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I have a specific requirement for a grease that is NLGI class 2 with a greater than 40% content of molybdenum disulfide.

Loctite LB 8012 is 65% moly but is NLGI class 1.

A lot of the MSDS documents don't list moly content.

Thanks,
Jeff

Molykote M77 is over 60% moly, but you will have to contact Dow to find out what the NLGI grade is.

Without double checking, isn't NLGI 3? I have a can I've been using for years, mostly as a thread treatment but also in some other misc applications. I tried it on my sticky Ford driveshaft splines and surprisingly it didn't work that great. Mixed 50/50 with valvoline synpower grease and its been working very well for that application now. I also use it on disc brake pad ears but it really seems to be under-performing there.
