Which HM oil for minor seeps?

After finally fixing the leaking block off plate on my 6.2L Yukon I am able to see some additional seepage from the oil pan and what appears to be the front timing cover. Not too serious, but some minor seepage. Stays dry for about a week and then some moisture can be seen. I've been running the Havoline smart box, but thinking about trying the HM version to see if it changes anything. It appears that Mobil 1 HM seems to still be on the thicker side of things - most HM formulations lately are thinner than they used to be (see Maxlife). So which HM flavor would you choose? Havoline HM, Mobil1 HM, or something else?
 
I've used Supertech, Valvoline and pennzoil high milage formulas and so far the best "High Milage" specific results out of that for me came from the valvoline in the form of less seepage from somewhere under my previously owned XG350. At the time I didn't really care to see where it came from.

If you are really worried about getting thicker you could up a viscosity grade.

I've been thinking about using Supertech Synthetic 5w30 HM in my Impala. It's dexos approved and $14.88 for 5 quarts. If I don't like it after a couple of OCIs, I'll get something else.

Go for it. If nothing is on sale there's no glaring reason not to and I've used that brand, viscosity and package in both my vehicles and so have a good portion of my friends.
 
The detailed specs for the vanilla and HM Super Tech were posted here on BITOG. All specs for the vanilla vs. HM Super Tech were identical.

Go with the M1 HM. You know it's radically different than the vanilla HM and has a lot more seal swellers and cleaning ability (probably through higher Group V alkylated naphthalene (AN) content).

All repairs are going to cost more.... in this case, cost more than just the price of the next oil change.
If one finds the $10 extra too painful to the wallet, use the Supertech.

This is true. My leak is small enough that I thought I'd give the HM oil a shot. Also, I've read here that HM oil sometimes has extra "robust" additives which may or may not be the case. I've actually fixed the problem with a scoop of oil dry as it is.

Are you ever going to read the posts before you reply to them? The Super Tech and Super Tech HM are identical formulations to every decimal in the the detailed data sheets. The M1 vanilla and M1 HM are entirely different formulations.

I think I will try Mobil1 HM because I can pick up the exact amount I need (6 quarts) at Sams Club. I may wait until April starts to see if the rebates come out.
 
Supertech FS/Supertech FS HM are the exact same thing? How do they not get in trouble for false advertising? That makes me not want to use the regular Supertech FS if that's the case. If they will put the same product in two different jugs and say one is HM, there's no telling what else isn't true.

For a noticeable while here in SE Michigan, they were labeling Supertech Dino as Dexos 1 Gen 2. Then one day, all those jugs were gone and the new labels had no Dexos 1 Gen 2 on the dino oil.

Shady business practices there.

They may have higher seal conditioner content in both...
