I posted about this originally as a query back in 2018: https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/4913834/

Given the latest waffling on gun laws up here in the GWN I'd been hesitant to post this, but I'm bored and if the government really cares a semi-anonymous post on here isn't going to make or break anything. I ended up going the AR-10 route as the title suggests, as the I felt the AR platform brought more to the table. I've owned it since December and have had it out 2x or 3x now and am super happy with it, despite me not getting the leftie version, which concerned me, but my shop said they'd take it back and order me the leftie version if it bothered me. Discovered that the shell deflector made it a non-issue, so I'm shooting a right-hand semi left.

Currently I have the RROD from my Derya MK-12 on it, but the plan is to put the Eotech Vudu 1-6x I posted about a while back on it, as of the low mag options I tested at the store, it impressed me the most.

The MK-12, Mini-14 and 10/22 pictured are not mine, they are my buddy's, I left my MK-12 at home, brought the 700 5R Milspec, Savage stainless .22 heavy and the AR-10.

First time out, the bolt started sticking, hit it with some lube and it freed right up. Took it home, gave it a full clean and lube and it has cycled perfectly since. I've probably got 200rds through it at this point. The recoil on it is so mild my 65lb daughter could shoot it without issue. Accuracy appears to be pretty good, though I'll know better once I have a proper optic on it.

Nice! What ammo were you using? With the current situation we are in, the worry about banning certain firearms is on the back burner for a while. Just my thoughts.

Agreed!

I was using Federal 150's for the most part, though was also shooting some FMJ Federal bulk.

Gotta love AR10s. Combination of knockdown power and maneuverability. Nice.

Couldn't agree more.

I've got a 16" barrel .308/7.62 AR-style rifle that is really accurate and has magazines up to 25 rounds.

If I could only have one gun, for any conceivable reason, it would be that one...

Nice,
I shoot wolf and it cycles fine,
Do you have an adjustable gas block?

I picked up a PSA lower and upper ar-10 on super clearance sale last year, I think I dropped around $550 in total, mine is a 18 or 20 inch barrel, I have a red dot sight on it now with 2x adapter, Might switch out to a scope so I can reach out to 500

I don't believe the gas block is adjustable? Doesn't say anything about it being so on their website:
