The GOAT has landed in TB. Looks like TB has a very sound team with the exception of the clown they had at QB. Brady is friends with the TB management, too. Looks like a good match.

Huge mistake.

I would have stayed in NE and play 2 more years and then retired.

He didn’t have that choice. As for Winston, I was surprised he was even drafted.

Next, we will get to see whether he gets to wear #12, as his new teammate, Chris Godwin, is currently #12.

The mistake was on NE's part. They shopped Brady AFTER he gave them so much. Loyalty matters.

As for how he will fit TB:

The Bucs jumped on it quickly, offering one of the most talented young receiving tandems in the league in Pro Bowlers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, who both eclipsed 1,100 yards last year despite not playing full seasons, along with two 6-foot-5 tight ends, Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin says he's willing to give up No. 12 to Tom Brady

The Pats botched things, but they are also in salary cap HADES and do not have many options:

I think Belichick also wants to win without Brady. And the Bills are going all in to come after them for the AFC East...

You are right, but TB's issue with them goes back further than today. TB was shopped, as Kraft and Belicheck wanted to send him away to SF instead of Jimmy Garapollo a few years ago. It ticked off TB really bad, so TB negotiated a "no Tag" clause into his contract. NE should have seen this day coming.

He had another choice, he could have just retired. But that would have been a tough way to go out, last pass in his career would have been an interception.

Yeah, and Brady also has sacrificed his paycheck in an effort to keep good players around and to win. But his contract was below his market value for most of his time there and other guys like Mahomes make more. I'm sure he's looking for a final retirement nestegg payday...

In a sense this was all predicable. Bill Belichick always tends to get rid of players just a little before they're past their prime. It's amazing he stuck with Brady so long. And he also doesn't tend to overpay although he's also done that.

Why retire when you don’t want or need to?

Tom's over 40. He will be mediocre and brittle this year and TB will miss the playoffs. James will go to NE and cut his turnovers in half and take them to the Superbowl. Oh wait.... the season is cancelled?

Maybe for health reasons? He's mentioned he had concussions before. Peyton Manning had neck issues. Not a profession that's good for long term health. Average career in the NFL is about 3-4 years but longer of course for some quarterbacks.
