I usually don't do rebates for reasons that will be obvious after reading this post. I bought 5 qts. of RGT during the AZ 'Clearance' in December 2019. The AZ cash register receipt had a rebate form right on it so I gambled a postage stamp and mailed it in (a $10 rebate was due). I just got back from 2 months away from home and in the mail was a postcard denying my rebate stating "claim form mechanically reproduced". I had mailed the actual store receipt with rebate form attached so this excuse is nonsense (although the register receipt claim form was so small I had to print in 'hobbit' sized print.) No more mailing in rebates for me...

PS: When AZ did the Mobil 1 AP 'Clearance' in December 2018.....I sent a $10 rebate in online....never heard anything since....but at least I didn't waste a postage stamp.....

My advice if you want to continue to pursue it, call the toll free number and speak to a rep. I had one of my two AZ $10 rebates denied for same reason as yours even though it was one/same claim form for both jugs. After the speaking with a rep, she apparently saw it was right and got it approved. Later after getting the $20 check, received post card with denial and reason as noted. lol.

The only rebate I have done in the past year was DTD tire rebate.

Be prepared to be ripped off or return it-there's a bunch of threads on this already. I have 15 quarts of RGT that I will either return or use for a short flush on something, the SOPUS rebate processor has already given multiple fraudulent reasons for not honoring it, my time is too valuable to waste on Shell's stupidity.

Back in 2008 or 2009 I went into a local goodyear store on the last day of a tire rebate. Seriously just bad timing, I had no prior knowledge of the sale. It was such a good deal you could not refuse it, nor could you match it anywhere else. The key was you had to charge it to their own goodyear credit card, make one payment on time, then send in the rebate. Mind you my credit score was in the 800's and just to get this good year credit card, it required more credit checks than you would go thru for a mortgage. An hour later while in their store talking to the support line, they said it would take 48 hrs to approve and by then the sale would be over.

So we had my dad sign up instead. His credit score is no joke lower than mine, and his got approved after an hour on the support line and answering over 50 questions it seemed. They processed the order, they installed the tires, and we were happy.

No joke the sale ended at 12 noon, in a specific time zone different from ours, but it didnt say that on the flyer. We were only a touch over when the order was entered, but well within range of our time zone. We did'nt catch it, the store manager didnt catch it, and who would have thought a rebate would end at noon rather than midnight. Only the website showed the time zone, not any of the printed literature. I fought with them so hard on this matter and had practically the entire good year organization involved in it. They had zero interest in resolving the issue. I even countered them to remove the tires for a refund, that was denied. I was going to just not pay but it would have affected my credit.

That is and was the very last rebate I ever used. Now I pay the correct price up front or I don't purchase it at all.

I got them all probably a $100 worth from Mobil and Shell over the last few years. They told you why they denied the rebate. Send it in again online using a phone to take the receipt picture, easy as pie, and I am not very good at that stuff.

I took a photo of my AutoZone receipt and uploaded to rebate center with my iPad.

Got all the rebates.

Several members on here have found out that is the SOPUS standard business model. I have. My suggestion use up you SOPUS oil and replace it with something else.

I NEVER do a mail in rebate. If it isn't available to be entered online, I just don't mess with it.

I've never had any issues receiving Shell rebates but their latest Rotella gas truck rebate is only valid at stores that do not even carry that oil in my area.

That's insane!

Should have filed a civil claim at your local magistrate. In PA it's literally 1 page and you would have had a 30minute hearing and found in your favor bc I doubt Goodyear would have sent a lawyer to deal with it.

I say this bc if hadn't paid your credit card, they would have gone after you in the same court for the same thing. Gotta fight a corporation like you're a corporation.

Got all the rebates.

Trust me-if you got denied originally, they will MAKE UP reasons to not give it to you. I even got the Rotella social media team (on Facebook) involved, sent it all to them again, they can't even fix it. The Auto Zone return window closes as of 4/1, I'm not sure what they'll do, but I buy enough from them I might be able to talk them into a store credit or something, I'm sure they don't want it back. Other than numerous posters & in-store ads, there's no RGT left in the region. Buyer beware on any SOPUS rebate from here on, if they screw you, can't say I didn't warn you!

I got ripped off on a General Tire $50 rebate, angered me, may have to move on from the Altimax to something else. They said they never received my form and it was too late to file again, prior rebates with them had been online and worked fine. Maybe that's the secret.

I just called the SOPUS rebate center at (866) 707-6737 to complain....couldn't even get a human on the phone. I hope their oil is better than their customer service....Even though many have received them....I really do believe that 'rebates' are a gimmick....
