If they have to drive anodyne appliances in automotive purgatory then they believe that you should have to do so as well. [/quote]

Once in my life the last car at Enterprise was a Corolla with some miles on her …
Ever since when I see edyvw refer to "appliance" = think of that car.

You live nearby?

Rebuilt the motor in the old 67 Buick

Should have the Buick 340GS running this Sunday if it doesn't puke oil out the rear rope seal

Its got a hot 2 speed slushbox - but also a trick switch pitch converter - hi/low stall speed.

May go to 60 mph in under 7 seconds with a hot 208deg crower replacement cam

About as fast as my 85 cu-in VW 4 banger

Yes the Ford is for sale. Gotta bring over 20 large though ...

some pics on the rebuild (a look into my secret world):

Dude, that's not a 340!

When you're asking people for money all the time and rely heavily on support systems which most outgrow, you actually don't deserve to "enjoy driving". At least not until you're self sufficient.
Pardon me for venting and transferring his persona onto you Jaraxle. That was real wrong.
But for the foreseeable future the word Challenger = wasteful and needless. Forgive the knee-jerk reaction. I can be such a 'knee' sometimes.
Apologies.
Obviously you got sense....enjoy that new ride.

If it's not a 340 Buick, what is it? Looks like a Buick small block to me.

Oh, I guess the machine shop gave me the wrong motor back!

Funny the 020 over piston fit, and the crank laid in there just so.

It's also the ONLY 0W-40 I can find locally.

Should be a fine choice for your application.
Enjoy your ride!!

6-speed manual. If I wanted an automatic, I would have bought a Charger. That double-overdrive is great...2000RPM in 6th gear is about 80MPH!

Tires (Sumitomo HTR) are mostly worn (and one wheel is damaged, I think by me driving it home). Got a replacement wheel on eBay, will get new tires this summer.

Not sure yet, haven't driven it enough due to damaged wheel.

Yes, I like them.

It's an SRT Core, which deletes most of the junk that most SRT models are loaded with...no leather, no fog lights, base stereo, most badging deleted, no stripes. Only thing that differentiates it from an R/T or even a V6 are the "SRT8" badge on the spoiler, the 20" SRT wheels, and the big Brembo brakes. The Core is the closest thing to a Road Runner you can get.

I posted in the thread you started, and you acted like you owned the thread and made a big to do over it. Got your own thread locked. Anyway, glad you took the advice anyways. Enjoy the car.

You have given up. Therefore, yet again, at least the tenth time, your input is neither wanted nor needed.
