I thought the F-150 7700 (the heavy-half, mostly notable for its weird 7-lug wheels) came with the 4R100 if ordered with the 5.4 and tow package...?

Only the first year or two...later ones were the F-150 7700.

Ford does very few things very well. I am not a fan of the brand. Having said that... I would buy a Ford way before I bought any new Chrysler product.

Most Chryslers aren't new, though. Their lineup has become so dated that they are actually kind of reliable now.

I'm glad ford stepped up to the plate and help the owners . I hope they don't have that problem with the Shelby GT500

Guy @ work brought his fiesta in Wednesday for a transmission related recall (I believe maybe software)

Got it back with a completely replaced transmission. He is not a car guy so it didn't seem like a big deal to him.

I had ridden with him and noticed months ago that something wasn't right, but as mentioned "not a car guy" so I guess the stumbling and bucking didn't sink in as what cars shouldn't do.
