I am looking for suggestions as to what type of cloth I should be considering for an application I have where the material will have multiple uses. The material should be:

1) available in white
2) does not accumulate skin moisture (breaths) if a person sleeps against it
3) is not abrasive to skin if a person rubs their skin against it
4) does not easily hold onto dirt if someone with dry dirty shoes steps on it
5) and is rugged enough to hold up to several washings over years of use

I am having trouble finding a material that does all 5, and would appreciate any suggestions.

sounds like you're trying to make a DIY face mask for CVirus!

I would visit 'The Fabric Store'

That seems a lot like good old polyester to me. Did you need something especially exotic, rare and expensive instead?

Tell us what the application is.

We promise we won't shunt you off to a standardized answer or, horrors, to a parts department.

With what you've said:
Would a finer muslin work?
A strong, white twill. Many blue work clothes are twill. White denim a well. Finding some in white will be the challenge
A white gropoint fabric has little nubbies on it but is strong (upholstery fabric)

My vote is hotel grade bed sheets. Those things take a beating.. and lots of skin rubbing against it. Years of abuse, and obviously many stains other than dirty shoes are involved.....

Satin sheets to lie on, Satin pillows to cry on.

Or, Nights in white Satin.
