Yokohama Avid Ascend GT (H speed rating)

Had these put on my Prius a few weeks ago.

They handle phenomenally well compared to the H rated Altimax RT-43 tires I had, and I thought those handled pretty well. They definitely have a harsher ride -- no question about it -- but the handling, man!

I had these on my old Jetta TDI however they were V speed rated and XL load. Loved them, great handling for a high treadwear fuel economy tire. Looking at getting some for my Cruze as they are excellent.

Should look these up before asking. Remember getting Avids from the old Armstrong plant in Virginia about twelve years ago. Got rid of the car about 10,000 miles after purchase. Same tire or something new? Or am i confused in my old age?

The AVID Ascend GT is a new-ish tire, only about a year old or so.

Yokohama AVIDs are like Bridgestone Potenzas or Goodyear Wranglers. It's just a product line, not a specific tire.
