hey guys im doing a brake fluid flush and my vehicle specs for dot 3, so i found some cheap dot 3 in canada at dollartree.
its the smb dot 3 fluid and the seal was still intact.

i assume since dot 3 is a federal standard all fluids are essentially the same and there is nothing wrong with using this cheap smb dot 3 fluid? or am i wrong?

here is the link:

thx

It's good. You might want more than 6 oz though. A quart, 32 oz, from walmart is probably less than five bucks.

oh yes i bought a bunch, in canada the cheapest dot 3 is like $12 a litre bottle

It will be fine

It should have a dry( or wet , I forget) boiling point on the label. I look for the highest boiling point for the bux.

Haha, gotta love the packaging size at the (real) dollar stores !

I've been using that SMB dollar store brand stuff for years. Never an issue. And the size is actually more convenient than the larger bottles.

Used to be able to pick up "Esso" branded DOT3 12oz bottles at the local Loblaws affiliate for $2 a piece, but unfortunately those days are gone.
