First actual oil question on the forum from me.

Same as HD30 quarts at Walmart? I use the quarts in the lion's share of mowers I service. This is a decent savings.

I don't believe it's the same oil as the SAE 30 HD. The CF rating on the label points to it as being diesel oil, similar to the Rotella SAE 30. If it doesn't have an SJ rating on the back of the label, I would pass. I'm using the Super Tech SAE 30 HD in the quart bottles and they are gasoline engine approved.

I recently noticed my Walmart does not have the 30w quarts anymore.
So, would this be acceptable for OPE? …. I would think so.

I have quite a few jugs of this laying around the barn.
It is my summer oil in the 7.3 powerstroke.and trail whips
It is cf-2 rated so it has good tbn and high zddp. It will be better then any dino api sm/sn oil on the market.

I just noticed the other day that my local store had a bunch of 30w quarts, but they were in a separate section than all of the automotive oils. Maybe it was by the boat stuff.
