Corona virus and parts availability

Just got an email from Mazda Corporate with a list of part numbers that are on a limited or restricted availability due to the Corona virus. Sounds like wherever the production facility or distribution center that these are sourced from might have an outbreak or threat of one. Fortunately none of the numbers are ones that I have on order for anyone or stock so I am good there.

The supply chains are really being tested here. The part might come from a plant in Japan but the individual pieces come from all over.

The issue is even if the place a part/item is made if not affected. If just 1 part comes from a place that is it may shut them down.
You will see what manufactures have good design by who has back ups to all their parts they use to build their items. Those that don't will be hit much harder.
