FYI: I used quicken for 10 year and then gave up, I use spreadsheets which totals my expenses and I take sub total from credit cards and post to my excel
CONS: nickel dime mentality was getting old, they hold you hostage, will not let you upload transaction files unless you pay for new version. Tries to force cloud backup.
I did not find any real benefit as I do not produce any invoices and I only need to track my expenses for IRS
Other than that, that was a good deal on Quicken :-)
I use it to download transactions in various accounts, and to simplify balancing the household checkbook. It tracks a few investments. Not a must-have, but I use it for certain conveniences. Quite a few years now. Totally agree on their hostage holding, much more expensive vs. their former 3-year pricing.
