Spliceline wire connectors

I would check with the local electrical codes to see if that splice is in compliance with what you want to do. Generally, residential wiring requires an accessible junction box to make a connection. Inside the breaker box might qualify, but maybe just check to be sure.

Those look like the Chinese finger-trap "backstab" connectors in the backs of cheapo residential outlets. Unreliable. No thanks.

I'd see if you could install another bus bar closer to your breakers or something.

I used them for all the wiring in my addition. Super low profile and not bulky, especially if you're working with 12 gauge wire.

I've started using those myself, really like them. I've started using the 3 hole ones for outlets on the ground wire, for splicing two runs of cable to the single screw on the outlet.
